The PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) RN will provide a safe environment for patients following an operative procedure in which anesthesia was administered. The PACU RN must also be certified in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), and possibly pediatric advanced life support (PALS) depending on the setting.
