Over 50 years later, the mission is the same. But the size, scope and capability of the Kaiser Permanente organization have grown exponentially. Today Kaiser Permanente is one of the nation’s largest managed care providers. We are a working partnership of two organizations: the not-for profit Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Hospitals, and the Permanente Medical Groups. This integrated approach continues to provide a model for efficient, stable and financially sound managed care.
