$18.00 per hour plus $0.25 per hour additional for each year of epxerience. 12 hour shifts 7 am - 7 pm or 7 pm - 7 am. Positions are part-time on an as needed basis
Care for ill, convalescent, or disabled perons in a nursing home. May work under the supervision of a registered nurse. Licensing required.
Observe patients, charting and reporting changes in patients' conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and taking any necessary action. Provide basic patient care and treatments, such as taking temperatures or blood pressures, dressing wounds, treating beadsores, giving enemas or douches, rubbing with alcohol, massaging, or performing catheterizations. Answer patients' calls and determine how to assist them. Measure and record patient's vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration. Work as part of a health care team to assess patients needs, plan and modify care andimplement interventions. Assemble and use equipment such as catheters, tracheotomy tubes, and oxygen supppliers.
